Podcast with Bronwyn Page-Shipp on child labour

The cocoa sector has been in the spotlight recently, with many media reports claiming child labour and unsustainable practices. In our latest podcast, Bronwyn Page-Shipp, FLOCERT’s Regional Manager for Africa and the Middle East, explains how FLOCERT looks at the child labour topic, how is this addressed by media and the impact of the corona crisis. Bronwyn is FLOCERT’s Regional Manager for Africa and the Middle East. A South African native, she started her career at FLOCERT as an independent auditor in 2005. In 2009 she became FLOCERT’s Regional Manager for Southern Africa and later on for Africa and the Middle East. She originally started her career as a criminal defense attorney and worked part-time as a mediator for the Commission for  Conciliation, Mediation and Arbitration in South Africa. She has a vast experience of more than a decade in the cocoa industry.

 

Bronwyn Page-Shipp is FLOCERT’s Regional Manager for Africa and the Middle East. When she is not in the office, she loves walking in Cape Town's natural beauty with Koda, the family's golden retriever.
