Desktop audit
Evaluation of compliance in case a physical audit is not possible due to regional conflicts, natural disasters, outbreaks of disease, or other high-risk circumstances, or if it is deemed appropriate as a means to collect documentation. In these cases the audit needs to be performed via an examination of documents that is done off site.
