Compliance criteria (CC)

The term compliance criteria describes a translation of the requirements of the Fairtrade Standards, binding guidance documents and FLOCERT certification policies into verifiable control points. These criteria are evaluated in the certification process to determine compliance with the Fairtrade Standards and with certification requirements. CCs are in accordance with minimum and progress requirements of the Fairtrade Standards, and therefore every CC is linked to a specific timeline indicating when it needs to be fulfilled. CCs are classified into major compliance criteria and regular compliance criteria. All CCs are published by FLOCERT on the public compliance criteria lists.
